We pay good money for your used hard drive

Your old computer may hold an opportunity to earn some extra money. Save the hard drive when you get rid of your old computer. We'll pay you between € 60 and 120 for it if it´s a hard drive we need right now - cash or by transfer to your bank account. We also buy more recent models of hard drives.

The hard drives we buy are used as "donor drives". Parts from these hard drives will be used in advanced data recovery operations at the data recovery company Ahlberg Data in Nacka, Sweden. The drive must exactly match the damaged hard drive in need of repair. It needs to me the same size, model, manufacturer and so on.

It may seem a bit strange that we buy hard drives for lots more than they are worth - check the current prices of used hard drives at for example eBay. But we are in fact not crazy and there is really nothing strange about it. Parts from your old hard drive may be used to salvage someone else's data that otherwise would not be recoverable from a damaged hard disk.

If your hard drive seems to match one of the hard drives we need, please just click on the picture for a high resolution image showing exactly what details that need to match. Both the model and all highlighted details must match exactly.

If you think you have a hard drive that matches one of our wanted drives perfectly, please send an e-mail to harddrive@webuyharddrives.com right away. Also, please attach a high resolution picture (jpg) with all codes and markings readable, so we can check that the drive really is an exact match.

If your drive isn't needed right now, please register it in the database of available drives using the form. If we need your drive at a later date, we will contact you. Don't throw the drive away - put it in your bottom drawer or such. It will be worth money sooner or later.

Please note that we need you to attch pictures of both the front and back of the hard drive. Without these pictures, that must show the entire drive with all codes and markings clearly readable, it is not possible for us to determine whether we can use your drive or not. For administrative reasons, we also cannot accept submissions to the database via e-mail, zip-files, links tp pictures on the web or similar.
